Director of Materials Management- Danbury CT

$200 Million Firm with International Subsidiaries

Seeking individual responsible for overseeing all activities within the materials department. Purchase primarily finished goods from domestic and overseas factories already established and assist in obtaining new suppliers for continuous cost and quality improvement. Establish key metrics include supplier delivery performance, supplier quality PPM, material variance to budget and cost improvements by product and supplier. Direct changes in the department to establish controls and best practice for each buyer.


Qualifications:
• Significant expertise to implement IT system to automate current purchasing and materials function.
• Skilled in negotiations, interpersonal and communication
Education / Experience:
• Masters Degree in business, operations management or equivalent
• 7-10 years experience in a materials planning and/or purchasing capacity
